The sloping floor in our bedroom was fascinating, and the evening meal in the beautiful Jacobean panelled dining room was a highlight of our stay.

Very quiet area, central location just off restaurant, and Bromyard. Nearby Queens Arms - great place to chill out. Spotless and cheap units with soap, multiple teas and bathroom.

The charming atmosphere and attentive staff make this historic hotel feel special, though the mattress in room 4 could use an update for better comfort. Cleanliness and good dining options impressed me, while a busy Christmas party in the bar added to the lively ambiance.

The extraordinary desire of the owners to please their clients in every way imaginable. Culture - music and drama - were strong points.
A Tudor hotel cannot have a lift. It did not worry us, but could be a problem for the very elderly and infirm.

John & Silvia were friendly and are well known in the district. The rambling old building was interesting and the room was very comfortable.

A quirky old coaching inn with charming character, where the staff are genuinely attentive. The Sunday roast was really good, serving generous portions for just £8.50, and the homemade apple sauce was a good touch. Offers a relaxing atmosphere with comfy chairs, but the uneven floors made navigation a bit tricky. The room's layout felt a bit cramped, and the decor could use refreshing in places.

Good quality food products used, clean bedrooms, good tea and coffee facilities provided.
The brusque nature of the owners. Hotel had a tired, faded feel about it.
